Tharaa Misr signs partnership with Hilton Worldwide to establish Hilton Garden Inn within Glee North Coast project

Tharaa Misr for Real Estate Development announced the signing of Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach, in partnership with Hilton.

Eslam Hashem, Chairman of Tharaa Misr for Real Estate Development, expressed that the partnership with one of the leading global hotel brands underscores the company’s dedication to selecting strong, internationally recognized players in hotel management.
He further noted that the new Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach will stand out as a significant landmark in the North Coast.
Hashem stated that the hotel will be an integral part of the company’s latest development on the North Coast, directly positioned along the Mediterranean Sea. The location was meticulously chosen to create a fully integrated, premium residential and tourist destination. The company’s goal is for the new hotel to deliver a distinctive experience to both Egyptian and international visitors, offering top-tier hospitality in a prime beachfront setting.

He highlighted that Borg El Arab is seen as the gateway to the stunning northern coastline of Egypt, making it an ideal location for the project’s launch. The company is eager to bring Hilton’s renowned hospitality to guests and visitors. The hotel is slated to open in 2028, offering luxurious accommodations in the dynamic Borg El Arab region along Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.
The hotel’s coastal location, which is known for its crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches, makes it an ideal summer destination for domestic and international travellers. Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach will be just half an hour from Borg El Arab Airport and less than a two-hour drive from West Cairo.
He noted that Tharaa Misr for Real Estate Development has ambitious plans to launch two projects with a combined investment of EGP 22bn in the Egyptian real estate market. Among these is the company’s North Coast development, which has made a strong start by securing a strategic partnership with a renowned global hotel brand.
He disclosed that the government’s ambitious initiative to develop the North Coast into a global destination motivates prominent and innovative real estate firms to align their strategies with the national vision and undertake world-class projects in the region.
He also highlighted the significant interest from both local and international investors in the North Coast, particularly following the decisive measures taken to enhance the Ras El Hikma area.
Carlos Khneisser, vice president, development, Middle East & Africa, Hilton said, “Egypt presents tremendous development opportunities for us, and we are on track to more than double our portfolio across the country in the coming years. Egypt’s North Coast is rapidly growing to become one of the region’s most exciting summer destinations. We continue working with our valued owners to diversify our presence, providing travellers with more destinations to stay – and Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach is a prime example of this.”
Hilton Garden Inn Borg Al Arab Beach will offer 135 guest rooms and suites, a lobby bar, a pool bar, and an all-day dining restaurant, along with four flexible meeting rooms, a fitness centre, and a gym. Guests will be able to enjoy an outdoor pool and direct access to the beach. The hotel will be part of the Glee North Coast, a mixed-use development featuring recreational and commercial facilities. The Glee North Coast project is being built on an area of 50 acres by the sea.
