Global Expo Consultant: Paving the Way for Egyptian Exports

Since its establishment in 2015, Global Expo Consultant has been a key player in promoting Egyptian products on the international stage.

With a strong presence in Africa and the Middle East, the company has helped businesses expand their reach through strategic participation in global trade exhibitions.
REALTY CATALOGUE sat down with Dr. Mahitab Omar, Director of International Marketing, and Mr. Rami Anani, Sales Director, to discuss their journey, challenges, and the future of Egyptian exports.
Dr. Mahitab Omar begins by highlighting the company’s mission. “We founded Global Expo Consultant with the goal of bridging the gap between Egyptian manufacturers and international markets. Our focus has been on industries such as construction materials, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies, where Egyptian products have strong potential for export. By leveraging trade agreements like COMESA, we have been able to facilitate market entry for many companies, particularly in Africa.”
Africa was the company’s first strategic focus, and the results were immediate. One of their early success stories was in Kenya, where Global Expo Consultant organized Egypt’s participation in The Big 5 Construct Kenya. “Companies like Cleopatra and Red Sea Pipes gained significant exposure, and over time, the Egyptian pavilion became one of the most dominant, surpassing competitors from Turkey, China, and India,” Dr. Mahitab adds.
The company’s success, however, is not limited to Africa. Mr. Rami Anani explains how they have also played a key role in expanding Egyptian exports to the Gulf region, particularly Saudi Arabia. “Since 2020, Saudi Arabia has experienced a construction boom, and Egyptian companies have capitalized on this. We have facilitated the participation of over 350 Egyptian companies in major trade exhibitions in the Kingdom, leading to increased exports of building materials, plastic pipes, and industrial products.”
Despite these successes, exporting to international markets presents challenges. One of the biggest obstacles has been compliance with different technical standards. “For example, Saudi Arabia follows American building codes, which meant that Egyptian manufacturers had to modify their products to meet these specifications. Some companies even established local factories in Saudi Arabia to cater directly to market demand,” says Dr. Mahitab Omar.
Beyond the Gulf, the company has played a crucial role in helping Egyptian businesses navigate complex markets like Nigeria. “Trust is a major issue in certain markets,” she explains. “We work closely with local government authorities, embassies, and trade organizations to ensure that Egyptian companies are dealing with credible partners, minimizing risks related to fraud and financial losses.”
Looking ahead, Global Expo Consultant is setting its sights on Qatar, Turkey, and South Africa, along with strategic expansions into Germany and Spain. “These are promising markets for Egyptian exports, and we aim to facilitate greater participation in international trade shows to help our clients break into these regions,” says Mr. Rami Anani.
For Egyptian companies looking to succeed internationally, Dr. Mahitab Omar offers some valuable advice: “Exporting is not just about selling products; it’s about building a global presence and increasing competitiveness. Companies must take advantage of government support programs, participate in trade exhibitions, and continuously adapt to market demands.”
Mr. Rami Anani echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of international exhibitions. “Attending trade fairs provides companies with direct market exposure, networking opportunities, and insights into global trends. It’s one of the most effective ways for Egyptian businesses to establish themselves internationally.”
As Global Expo Consultant continues to expand its reach, its commitment remains unchanged: to provide Egyptian businesses with the tools, knowledge, and platforms they need to thrive in international markets. With its proven track record and ambitious vision, the company is set to shape the future of Egyptian exports on the global stage
