A First-of-Its-Kind in Sultan Haitham City… Al Ahly Sabbour has launched “The Iconic Tower,” the first and tallest tower in Sultan Haitham City. The project includes a luxury hotel and branded residences under the Villa Coconut brand.
The Iconic Tower: A Landmark of Regional Expansion and Architectural Innovation
Cairo, Egypt – October 6, 2025. Al Ahly Sabbour Real Estate Development has officially launched The Iconic Tower, the first and tallest tower in Sultan Haitham City, Oman. The tower stands as a landmark with direct views of the Central Park and the main valley. Moreover, it strengthens Al Ahly Sabbour’s regional presence and highlights the export of Egyptian expertise to emerging markets.
The Iconic Tower is part of the Wadi Zaha development. This project brings more than 30 years of the company’s expertise into Oman. Consequently, it reflects Al Ahly Sabbour’s strategy of regional expansion and growth in high-potential markets.
Wadi Zaha achieved strong market demand. The project reached 80% of its annual sales target of OMR 28 million for 2025. As a result, it became the top-selling project in Sultan Haitham City. Total investments reached OMR 90 million, confirming its role as a leading residential and investment hub.
The launch of The Iconic Tower took place on October 5, 2025. The announcement came during a press conference, followed by a gala at the Ritz-Carlton, Al Bustan Palace, Muscat. The event was attended by H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and H.E. Dr. Khalfan Al Shueili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. In addition, Eng. Ahmed Sabbour, Chairman and Managing Director of Al Ahly Sabbour, attended with senior officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and investors. This high-level presence emphasized the project’s importance locally and regionally.
The Iconic Tower features a U-shaped design with two connected towers. Around 250 units are included, linked by a striking sky bridge that creates a gateway to the valley. One tower hosts a luxury hotel managed by the Villa Coconut brand, alongside branded residences and premium apartments.
The development integrates lifestyle and leisure. It includes retail spaces with shops, restaurants, and cafés. Residents also enjoy a swimming pool, a modern gym, and a walking track. Therefore, the project delivers a complete destination that combines hospitality and modern living.
Residential units at The Iconic Tower are diverse. They range from 45 to 150 square meters, including studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Sky villas and penthouses are also available with premium finishes. All units are fully finished and semi-furnished to suit different lifestyles.
According to Eng. Ahmed Sabbour, the project supports the local economy and tourism in Sultan Haitham City. He explained that the tower meets the global demand for mixed-use developments. Furthermore, it creates a lifestyle destination that combines housing, leisure, and tourism. As a result, Wadi Zaha is becoming a full community offering culture, luxury, and investment opportunities.
The Iconic Tower aligns with Oman’s Vision 2030. It aims to boost tourism’s GDP contribution to 3.5%. Moreover, the project enhances the city’s competitiveness, attracts visitors, and stimulates tourism-related spending.
Villa Coconut adds international hospitality standards. Known for its luxury lifestyle destinations in Zoya Ghazala Bay and El Gouna, the brand is also expanding to Athens, Greece. Its debut in Oman through The Iconic Tower marks its first step into the Gulf region.
Al Ahly Sabbour’s strategy is built on four pillars: strategic locations, strong partnerships, innovative products, and regional growth. These principles are reflected in Wadi Zaha. Choosing Sultan Haitham City shows the importance of location. Partnering with Villa Coconut highlights strong collaboration. Introducing the first branded residential tower in the city showcases innovation.
Currently, Al Ahly Sabbour has three projects in Sultan Haitham City: Wadi Zaha, Wadi Safa, and Wadi Tala. Together, they cover 100 acres and include over 3,500 residential units. The company’s investments total nearly OMR 440 million (about EGP 45 billion). Wadi Zaha, launched on 23 acres, was the company’s first step in Oman. Due to high demand, its units increased from 760 to 950.
Ultimately, The Iconic Tower is more than a building. It is a symbol of Egyptian expertise, architectural innovation, and regional ambition. The tower will reshape Sultan Haitham City’s skyline and position Oman as a hub for real estate investment and tourism.
