EDIC Developments announced two landmark projects in Cairo. They are DR5 in New Cairo and Celestia in Sheikh Zayed.
Both projects involve Egyptian-Saudi investments. They reflect EDIC’s plan to expand and deliver diverse projects in Egypt.
Dr. Amr Zaki, Chairman of EDIC Developments, confirmed the launchwith Saudi investor Rabah Al-Khatib. This reflects Arab investors’ confidence in Egypt’s real estate market. The partnership combines EDIC’s expertise with Saudi healthcare vision.
The DR5 project covers 1,500 sqm across three floors. It includes 71 clinics, a pharmacy, a lab, and radiology center. It is in Al-Yasmeen 5, First Settlement, New Cairo. EDIC partnered with regional and local entities to ensure quality standards.
DR5 is a fully integrated medical hub. It combines specialized clinics, medical centers, and support services to meet client needs. The project serves 250,000 residents in East Cairo. It will become a modern healthcare landmark in the area.
Construction began before the launch. Within two months, EDIC completed the building’s columns. The concrete structure will finish within five months, ensuring rapid progress for delivery.
EDIC signed with the World Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The center will occupy an entire floor in DR5. AFS was appointed for engineering consultancy. EDIC also signed agreements with GP and Medical Algorithm.
Celestia is Egypt’s first integrated gold mall. It gathers the largest cluster of gold traders in Sheikh Zayed. The mall redefines retail centers. It transforms them into specialized investment and trade destinations.
Saudi investor Rabah Al-Khatib praised EDIC’s commitment. He plans to invest EGP 2–3bn in Egypt’s strong market. He highlighted East Cairo’s urban growth. DR5 strengthens healthcare, while Celestia supports Egypt’s jewelry industry.
AFS CEO Mohamed El-Daly confirmed his company’s role in facility management. He said this ensures long-term value for real estate assets. Dr. Mohamed El-Alam contracted to open a surgery center in DR5. He also plans to expand into Saudi Arabia.
GP CEO Mohamed Hamed stressed sustainability in projects. He explained GP partners from the start to ensure continuity. Medical Algorithm CEO Mahmoud Lashien said the company ensures excellence in managing medical facilities.
Prof. Dr. Eng. Ahmed Fouad Sabry designed Celestia with a modern vision. The design suits the gold and jewelry sector. EDIC’s Commercial Director Mahmoud Mamdouh said Phase 2 of Celestia will diversify services and attract more traders.
Artist Mostafa Amar, EDIC’s brand ambassador, expressed delight in promoting these projects. He said the projects reflect EDIC’s vision for excellence, creativity, and unique client experiences.
