Our story began with a clear vision: to manufacture an Egyptian product that meets global standards. We aimed not to be just another producer of fire equipment. We chose to become a center of expertise that delivers complete, integrated solutions.
Despite a highly competitive and limited market at the time, we managed to establish our position through quality and commitment. Over the past five decades, the name “Meteory” has become synonymous with trust, both in Egypt and abroad.
In its formative years, Meteory had to navigate a number of obstacles to secure its place in the market. What were the defining challenges, and how did the company overcome them?
The challenges were many—from difficulties in importing raw materials to limited awareness of the importance of fire safety systems. But we stayed committed to international standards, established internal testing laboratories, and invested years in securing international accreditations. Today, we are not just users of standards; we are active members in the committees that shape and develop them in Egypt.

Having established a solid presence in both the UAE and Spain, Meteory is now looking outward. How is the company leveraging these successes as springboards for broader international expansion?
Spain was our gateway into the European market, once we achieved compliance with the strict European standards. The UAE has become a central hub for our Gulf operations, where stringent regulations have made us a preferred choice.
Today, we are preparing to expand further into Africa, targeting markets that value quality over price, which perfectly aligns with our philosophy of long-term sustainability.

This has opened vast horizons for growth, while also placing greater responsibility on us to ensure quality and compliance—because any failure in fire protection systems directly impacts lives and assets.
Despite its success, Meteory continues to operate in a challenging environment. What ongoing hurdles does the company face, and how is it addressing them to remain competitive both locally and internationally?
Like any strategic industry, challenges are inevitable. Delays in importing raw materials due to customs procedures and the presence of non-compliant products in the parallel market are two key issues.
Yet, we view these challenges as drivers to strengthen our competitiveness. We also believe that continued coordination between government and the private sector is essential to regulate the market, protect national industry, and sustain client trust locally and internationally.
