Urban Edge Developments Engages IEC as General Consultant for New Cairo Projects

Urban Edge Developments has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with International Engineering Consultancy (IEC) to serve as the general consultant and supervisor of engineering designs for its project in the Fifth Settlement in New Cairo.

This collaboration is part of Urban Edge Developments’ expansion plan for the year 2024.

Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Ganzouri, Chairman of Urban Edge Developments, expressed that the selection of IEC was based on their extensive experience and excellence in the field of consulting and engineering designs, both within and outside Egypt. He looks forward to a fruitful partnership that delivers distinctive, innovative, and modern designs aligned with market demands.

Dr. Faysal Abo El Azm, Chairman of IEC, conveyed his satisfaction in partnering with Urban Edge Developments. He emphasized that the project’s internal details, including unit distribution and space allocation, will be carefully considered to cater to the target customer segment, particularly those seeking investment opportunities.

Abo El Azm further explained that a comprehensive plan for the project is currently under development. This plan encompasses various activities and relies on innovative engineering solutions to maximize the utilization of the project’s total area, optimize internal spaces, and deliver a unique real estate offering.

IEC’s extensive portfolio encompasses 35 diverse projects in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) and the Fifth Settlement, spanning educational, residential, and commercial sectors. With 25 years of market experience, IEC has participated in the supervision and design of over 1,000 projects. The consultancy opened its office in 1999 and recently established a branch in France.
