REDCON Properties Collaborates with Intro Utilities for Solar Energy and Smart Grid Solutions at Golden Gate Project

REDCON Properties, a subsidiary of REDCON Group, has announced a strategic partnership with Intro Utilities to provide Golden Gate project with comprehensive energy management and distribution solutions, including solar energy generation.

This aligns with REDCON Properties’ vision to establish its esteemed project in New Cairo as a model for sustainable projects in Egypt and support Egypt Vision 2030.
The partnership was formalized by Ahmed Abdullah, Vice Chairman of REDCON Properties; Mr. Amal Abdel-Wahed, Vice Chairman of REDCON Construction; Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Mageed, CEO of REDCON Properties; and Mr. Hany Helaly, CEO of Intro Utilities, in the presence of senior executives from both companies, including Mr. Mohamed Abbass, Chairman of Intro Sustainable Resources, and Mr. Hatem Soliman, CEO of Intro Group.
Intro Utilities will oversee the distribution and management of electrical energy within the project. Moreover, Intro Utilities will install solar panels on building rooftops to generate clean, renewable energy, reducing the project’s dependence on traditional energy sources and lowering its carbon footprint. To enhance energy efficiency further, Intro Utilities will implement a smart grid system, enabling real-time monitoring and management of electricity usage for improved network performance and reduced energy losses.
Additionally, occupants of retail spaces, offices, and businesses within the project will benefit from a user-friendly mobile application facilitating bill payments and easy tracking of energy consumption.
As REDCON Properties’ flagship endeavor, Golden Gate is a commercial, entertainment, and administrative complex spanning over 160,000 sqm in New Cairo City, with an initial investment of EGP 15 bn for the first phase. The project boasts the largest façade overlooking South Ninety Street, extending 1.25 km in front of the American University in Cairo.
Embracing a sustainability-centric approach from design to construction, REDCON Properties contributes to fulfilling 9 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The company is set to commence unit deliveries in the final quarter of this year.
