Cityscape Summit 2025 New Capital Highlights ACUD Smart City Plans

During his speech at Cityscape Summit 2025, Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of ACUD, shared future plans.

• We are preparing to welcome 300,000–400,000 residents within the next three years. Moreover, 8–10 million residents will arrive within 25 years.
• The first electronic licensing program in the New Administrative Capital will be launched within one month.

Cairo, September 23, 2025: Cityscape Summit 2025 kicked off today at St. Regis Hotel in the New Capital. Cityscape is recognized as the leading real estate event in Egypt and the region. It serves as a unique platform for knowledge exchange and direct dialogue among top investors, developers, and financiers.
Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of ACUD, emphasized the importance of hosting Cityscape Summit in the New Capital. This event highlights the remarkable progress achieved on the ground. He noted that the government has been operating fully from the New Capital for the past two years. Additionally, he added: “Starting in 2026, the entire Egyptian state will be managed from the New Capital. A dream that has been in the making for over seven years is now a reality.”
Abbas explained that the company’s main objective is to provide citizens with a new quality of life. The New Capital is designed as a smart city with fully integrated services. All transactions can be completed electronically. Moreover, he revealed that the company will launch the first electronic licensing program within just one month. He stressed that all state entities are represented at the company’s headquarters. This structure ensures services in education, healthcare, and more. Therefore, processes will remain smooth for citizens, investors, and developers alike.
He also pointed out that the New Capital will accommodate between 8 and 10 million residents over the next 25 years. The company targets 300,000–400,000 residents within just three years. Abbas underlined that the project is far more than housing. It is a fully integrated city featuring education, healthcare, sports, hotels, and diverse activities. Additionally, it offers abundant investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
He concluded by reaffirming that the Egyptian real estate market remains strong and promising. It has withstood challenges over past decades. Cityscape Summit this year reflects the high level of interest from both exhibiting companies and investors.
The summit features a rich agenda of sessions and discussions. Keynote speeches from international and ministerial figures explore global economic trends and their impact on Egypt. Additionally, they review progress in the country’s economic reform program and Egypt Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that Cityscape Egypt 2025 will kick off tomorrow. The exhibition will bring together more than 80 local and international developers. They will showcase over 1,000 diverse projects. These projects include residential, commercial, and administrative units, as well as smart and sustainable city developments. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors. These include investors, business leaders, and individuals seeking new opportunities.
