ACCA Accelerates University MoUs to Strengthen International Professional Qualification Pathways Under 2026 Expansion Plan.
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). one of the world’s leading professional bodies in accounting and finance. has launched a new package of strategic agreements and executive initiatives in Egypt.
The organisation aims to enhance professional capability, modernise the accountancy profession, and align academic education with labour market needs. ACCA also seeks to strengthen Egypt’s regional and international competitiveness.
Strategic Collaboration with ESAA
ACCA and the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors (ESAA) held a high-level meeting to deepen cooperation. Both organisations reaffirmed their strategic alignment and agreed to accelerate joint efforts to develop the profession in Egypt.
Mr Hazem Hassan, Chairman of ESAA and Chairman of KPMG Egypt, chaired the meeting. Joining him was Mr Kamel Saleh, Chairman of the ESAA Examination Committee and Managing Partner at Grant Thornton Egypt.
Also present at the session was Mr Mohamed Yehia, Director of the ESAA Training Centre. Meanwhile, Mr Mohanad Khaled FCCA, Managing Partner at BDO Egypt, will serve as the principal coordinator for collaboration between the two organisations.
Both parties agreed to launch an executive cooperation framework. They will hold focused working sessions to define priorities, set performance indicators, and create a practical roadmap.

ACCA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with German International University (GIU). The partnership integrates global professional standards into academic programmes.
Prof. Slim Abdelnazer, President of GIU, signed the agreement with Mr Raymond Jack, Global Executive Director, Finance & Operations at ACCA.
Senior academic leaders attended the ceremony, including Prof. Dr Raghda El Ebrashi, Dr Sameh Reyad, and Ms Sanaria Essam Ali.
Mr Kush Ahuja, Head of ACCA Middle East and Asia, represented ACCA. Ms Nurihan AbdelBary, Market Development Manager – Egypt, highlighted the partnership’s strategic importance.
She confirmed that agreements signed in 2024 and 2025 improved graduates’ readiness for local and international markets.
Ain Shams University: Dual Path Programme
The Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shams University launched the “Dual Path Programme” with ACCA.
The programme allows students to complete their academic studies while progressing toward the ACCA qualification. This model strengthens integration between university education and international accreditation.
