Farida Resale Market Launch Opens Secondary Trading of Property Shares in Egypt

FARIDA, Egypt’s fractional real estate investment platform, has launched FARIDA RESALE, a digital secondary market that enables eligible investors to offer their property shares for sale and purchase shares from other investors. The service introduces a new mechanism for managing fractional real estate investments, with automated matching between buy and sell orders based on price, payment plans and other specified conditions.

How FARIDA RESALE Works

FARIDA RESALE allows eligible investors to list their property shares for sale through the platform’s app. Sellers can choose from the available pricing options and keep their offers active during the designated resale window until a matching purchase order emerges.
Meanwhile, prospective buyers can specify the project, number of shares, preferred price and suitable payment plan. Their purchase requests remain active until the platform identifies a matching sell offer.
The system automatically matches buy and sell orders according to the applicable criteria. These include price, payment plan and the specific conditions attached to each offer. As a result, buyers and sellers do not need to be online simultaneously for a potential transaction to match.
Once the required conditions align, the platform executes the transaction according to its approved procedures.

Resale Windows and Transaction Fees

FARIDA RESALE operates through designated resale windows opened by the platform for eligible projects. This approach organizes the availability of property shares for trading according to the conditions established for each window.
The announcement states that buyers pay a 4% fee under the terms of the announced resale window. All transactions remain subject to the terms and conditions governing the service.
Investors should review the applicable window rules, transaction fees and payment requirements before placing an order. The availability of a resale mechanism also does not, by itself, guarantee that a share will find a buyer or that a transaction will be completed.

A New Dimension for Fractional Real Estate Investment

The launch adds a secondary-market mechanism to FARIDA’s fractional real estate investment model. Investors can acquire shares in properties rather than purchasing an entire property independently. The new service also introduces a defined process through which eligible investors can seek to sell those shares to other participants.
Furthermore, the digital matching system connects investors seeking to sell with those looking to buy. This gives participants another option for managing their holdings, subject to the platform’s resale conditions and the availability of matching orders.
However, the effectiveness of this mechanism will depend on factors such as available offers, buyer demand, pricing conditions and the rules governing each resale window. The launch establishes a new channel for trading eligible property shares, rather than guaranteeing immediate liquidity.

Digital Platforms and the Evolution of Property Ownership

Fractional real estate ownership has introduced an alternative route into property investment by allowing individuals to participate through smaller ownership shares. Digital platforms can also support the administration of these investments and facilitate transactions between eligible participants.
In Egypt, the Financial Regulatory Authority issued Resolution No. 125 of 2025, establishing a regulatory framework for digital real estate investment platforms. The framework addresses investment through certificates issued by real estate funds and traded on licensed digital platforms.
Against this wider industry backdrop, FARIDA RESALE introduces a platform-based mechanism for secondary trading in property shares. Its practical operation will depend on the service’s applicable terms, project eligibility criteria and the procedures governing individual transactions.
By combining fractional property ownership with a designated resale mechanism, FARIDA is expanding the range of tools available to eligible investors for managing their property-share investments.
