Housing Minister Announces Completion of 4,032 Residential Units in New October City

Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced the completion of 4,032 new housing units as part of the fifth phase of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in New October City.

These units are fully equipped with roads, utilities, and landscaping and are ready for allocation to the designated citizens.
Mohamed Abd El Maksod, Head of the New October City Development Authority, stated that various infrastructure projects in the city are being monitored. Inspections included the industrial sewage treatment plant, the water lifting station, and the New October City substation. He emphasized the importance of contractors accelerating their work to ensure timely commissioning of these facilities.
Moreover, Mahmoud Mourad, Deputy Head of the Authority, highlighted that New October City includes 136,740 housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians – Low-Income Segment” initiative.
Also, to date, 70,584 units have been completed, with an additional 66,120 units currently under construction, following an intensive schedule to deliver them to citizens promptly.
Furthermore, during his inspection of the general site coordination and finishing works for the fifth phase, Mourad urged supervision entities to maintain rigorous field monitoring to adhere to all engineering specifications.
Also, he affirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring the project meets the required technical standards and quality.
