European Heat Pump Systems drive LG’s growth in Europe

European Heat Pump Systems are becoming central to sustainable housing in Europe, and LG Electronics continues expanding its leadership in this sector. Moreover, the company strengthens its position through new residential projects in the Netherlands. These developments support the rapid shift toward energy-efficient heating solutions across Europe.
LG supplies advanced HVAC systems for over 250 apartments in Eindhoven and Ridderkerk. Consequently, the company reinforces its competitiveness in the growing European residential heating market. In addition, these projects highlight the increasing demand for integrated, high-efficiency solutions in modern residential buildings.

Eindhoven Project: Integrated All-in-One Solution

LG secured a contract for a 157-unit residential project in Eindhoven. The company worked closely with partners from early design stages. These partners include Kruijzen Innovatie en Techniek Tilburg, Stam + De Koning Bouw, and Van Hoften Eindhoven.
Furthermore, LG applied Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations to optimize system performance. This approach improved heat flow efficiency and overall system design.
The project uses the Therma V R32 Split system combined with a Combi Unit. As a result, the solution integrates hot water storage and hydronic components into one compact indoor system. Therefore, installation time decreases while living space increases.
Additionally, LG applies its proprietary R1 compressor technology. This compressor improves durability and reduces vibration. It also supports stable heating performance under varying conditions.
The system uses R32 refrigerant with lower environmental impact. Moreover, LG ThinQ connectivity enables smart remote control and energy optimization for users.

Ridderkerk Project: Enhanced Reliability and Storage Efficiency

LG also secured a 102-unit residential project in Ridderkerk. Deliveries will begin in the second quarter of the year. This project further expands LG’s footprint in European Heat Pump Systems deployment.
In this development, LG supplies the Therma V R32 Split system alongside a Combi Unit. Additionally, it includes a 60-liter stainless steel buffer tank. This component stabilizes hydraulic performance and improves thermal storage efficiency.
The buffer tank supports both heating and hot water systems. Furthermore, its compact cylindrical design allows flexible installation in limited spaces. Its multi-port structure enables both serial and parallel configurations.
As a result, the system increases reliability and improves long-term operational efficiency.

Strengthening Market Presence Through Global Exhibitions

Beyond residential projects, LG continues expanding visibility through international exhibitions. For instance, at MCE 2026, LG showcased its R290-based Therma V Monobloc system.
This solution integrates multiple components into a unified structure. Consequently, it delivers high efficiency in both heating and hot water production.
In addition, LG introduced a new indoor lineup for air-to-water systems. The lineup includes Control, Hydro, and Combi Units. Notably, the design received the 2026 iF Design Award for innovation and usability.

Market Outlook and Strategic Growth

According to MMR Statistics, the European heat pump market will reach USD 46 billion by 2032. This growth is driven by electrification in heating and cooling systems.
Therefore, LG continues expanding its integrated HVAC portfolio. The company focuses on delivering scalable and energy-efficient solutions for residential applications.
James Lee, president of LG ES Company, confirmed that success in the Netherlands reflects strong engineering capabilities. He also emphasized LG’s commitment to tailored solutions for European building standards.
