Safwa Urban Development (SUD) announced that Criteria Design Group has won the design contract for The Pearl Mall.
It will be the first open commercial mall in New Mansoura City. The firm will also design several other SUD projects.
Criteria Design Group won the contract after a strong competition with several prominent engineering offices. The company held this competition to focus on innovative and sustainable designs.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Mohamed Shalaby, CEO and Managing Director of SUD, stated that the company remains committed to innovation. He confirmed that SUD delivers real estate products with modern design and high quality. These projects align with market trends and evolving customer needs. They also match global development standards.
He pointed out that Criteria Design Group will design the commercial area of The Pearl Compound in New Mansoura. This area spans over 60 acres. The compound includes residential buildings and villas, a 550-meter beachfront, a clubhouse, and several commercial malls.
Moreover, Shalaby added that this collaboration strengthens SUD’s future expansion plans. It supports the implementation of modern urban planning and sustainable design standards. As a result, the projects will deliver more value to clients. He also noted that Criteria Design Group is a leading engineering firm with strong local and regional experience.
In addition, Shalaby explained that SUD holds a diverse portfolio across several Egyptian governorates. It starts with Greater Cairo and the New Administrative Capital. These include the CH1 and CH2 Compounds, as well as commercial and administrative projects such as The Financial Hub. The portfolio also includes retail projects like HUB 1 and HUB 2.
In Obour City, the company is developing the High City Compound, with the first phase already delivered. Furthermore, SUD develops the High City Mall project, which spans 18,000 sqm.
In Ras El Bar, the Sun Set 1 compound directly overlooks the sea. It is the first residential-touristic village in the city. Additionally, Sun Set 2 resort in New Damietta includes apartments and villas for all preferences. The project offers a variety of entertainment and service facilities and was delivered to clients in 2019.
The Sun Set Mall project is also part of Sun Set 2 resort. It is located in the chalets area of New Damietta and overlooks the sea. Meanwhile, Sun Set 3 resort, built on 131,000 sqm along the Nile River in Ras El Bar, has been delivered to clients.
Architect Hisham Helal, founder and chairman of Criteria Design Group, stated that the firm’s collaboration with SUD strengthens their position.
