Arkania Developments launches REFAD New Cairo

Arkania Developments has unveiled REFAD New Cairo. its latest residential development. as part of an ambitious 2026 expansion strategy aimed at strengthening its position in Egypt’s real estate market.

The company announced the launch of REFAD – Golden Square during a press conference. Executives revealed details of the company’s investment roadmap. They also introduced the new residential compound in east Cairo. REFAD is a fully integrated residential development. The project is located in one of the most promising areas in east Cairo.
During the event, the company outlined the key pillars of its 2026 investment plan. The strategy focuses on accelerating construction activity. It also prioritizes direct investments in project sites. Additionally, the company aims to expand its development portfolio.
Eng. Ashraf Mostafa attended the conference as Chairman of Arkania Developments. Dr. Samir Benani also attended as the company’s Commercial Consultant. Eng. Omar Okeil joined the event as architectural consultant for the REFAD project.
Strong investment growth
Eng. Ashraf Mostafa spoke about the company’s 2026 strategy during the event. He said the strategy focuses on accelerating construction activity across all ongoing projects. The company will also strengthen delivery timelines.
Mostafa explained that Arkania plans to increase construction pace. At the same time, the company will maintain strict operational oversight. This approach ensures timely delivery and disciplined project execution.
He said Arkania built its strategy on three main pillars: growth, investment, and security. First, the company will drive growth through carefully planned expansion into promising real estate markets.
Second, Arkania will direct investments toward construction sites. This approach ensures real liquidity flows into project development.
Third, security reflects the company’s strong commitment to its clients. Arkania demonstrates this commitment through visible construction progress. The company also provides clear and reliable delivery schedules.
Mostafa added that these pillars strengthen customer confidence. They also support long-term and sustainable investment value.
Expanding investment portfolio
Mostafa revealed that Arkania Developments’ total investments reached EGP 9.446bn by the end of 2025. This figure reflects the company’s accelerated growth in recent years.
He added that the company plans to increase its investment portfolio during 2026. This plan forms part of a broader expansion strategy.
The expansion strategy targets east Cairo and several cities in Egypt’s Delta region. This approach will strengthen the company’s geographic presence. It will also help expand its customer base.
Mostafa said 2026 marks a new expansion phase for Arkania Developments. The company plans to launch several new projects during the year.
The REFAD – Golden Square project leads this development pipeline. The project reflects Arkania’s strategy to develop projects in strategic locations. These locations offer strong investment potential.
REFAD New Cairo project
REFAD – A Timeless Promise is located in District 8, Golden Square, in Beit Al-Watan, New Cairo.
The project spans more than 7 acres. Arkania Developments designed it as a fully integrated residential compound.
The design balances built-up areas with open spaces. This approach creates a comfortable and upscale living environment.
The project targets residents seeking privacy and distinction in one of east Cairo’s most promising locations.
Eng. Ashraf Mostafa emphasized the strategic importance of the project’s location. He said the location strengthens the project’s current and future investment value.
The development lies near Mohamed Bin Zayed Axis. It is also close to the View Zone and the main service hub of District 8.
Mostafa explained that the company selected the site after detailed studies. These studies focused on the area’s long-term growth potential.
Arkania Developments designed REFAD as a gated compound. This design ensures high levels of privacy and security.
The project offers several residential unit types. These include one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments.
Unit sizes start from 50 square meters. They extend up to 195 square meters. These options meet the needs of different customer segments.
The compound also features a central lake. It includes landscaped areas and distributed green spaces. These elements enhance the overall living experience within the development.
Smart amenities and lifestyle services
Dr. Samir Benani, Commercial Consultant for Arkania Developments, said the project offers a range of modern amenities designed to enhance residents’ lifestyle.
These include an open gym, smart cinema, children’s play areas, and the Arkania Lounge with free Wi-Fi.
Benani added that the development incorporates several smart technologies, including smart home systems, Triple Play services, electric vehicle charging stations, and golf carts for internal mobility.
All services will be managed through the Arkania mobile application, providing residents with a flexible and integrated living experience.
The project will also benefit from surrounding services, including an administrative mall, a 13,000 sqm school, a 5,500 sqm mosque, a nursery, and a food court.
These facilities aim to provide residents with a comfortable and convenient lifestyle within a fully integrated community.

Future project pipeline

Benani also revealed that Arkania Business Hub is expected to begin operations in the second quarter of this year.
Meanwhile, New Mansoura Mall is scheduled for completion and handover in the first quarter of 2027.
The company also plans to deliver LAVIDA – New Mansoura in the second quarter of 2028.
Construction of Mashreq – New Cairo will begin in the third quarter of this year.
Construction of REFAD – Golden Square will also start this year, with project delivery planned for the fourth quarter of 2028.

Architectural concept

Eng. Omar Okeil, architectural consultant for the project, said the design separates pedestrian movement from vehicle traffic within the compound.
This approach creates a calm and safe environment for residents, particularly families and children.
Vehicle access is directed directly to basement parking from outside the project, reducing traffic inside the compound.
According to Okeil, this design helps preserve the aesthetic character of the development while maintaining a quiet residential environment.
He added that the project follows modern architectural principles focused on comfort, safety, and quality of life.
All project components, including residential buildings, open spaces, and landscaping, were carefully planned to balance aesthetics and functionality.
Smart technologies such as smart home systems, EV charging stations, and internal mobility solutions have also been integrated into the design.
Okeil concluded that sustainability was a key consideration in every architectural decision, aiming to deliver a modern residential product that meets evolving lifestyle standards.
