Four-day event brings together construction and industrial leaders to discuss project delivery, governance, collaboration and supply chain resilience

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Big 5 Construct Saudi has officially opened at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Eng. Fawaz bin Badr Al Shora, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Services and Compliance, in the presence of Matt Denton, President of dmg events.
The event runs from August 30 to September 2, 2026, bringing together construction and industrial leaders, project owners, contractors, consultants, manufacturers, and suppliers to discuss the priorities shaping project delivery across Saudi Arabia.
This year’s edition focuses on the foundational stages of construction and related industrial sectors through Big 5 Construct Saudi and four specialized events: HVACR Saudi Arabia, FM & Clean Saudi Arabia, Heavy Saudi Arabia, and Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia.
Big 5 Construct Saudi Supports Saudi Arabia’s Construction Ambitions
During the opening, Eng. Fawaz bin Badr Al Shora toured the exhibition and reviewed solutions presented by local and international companies.
The event comes at an important stage for Saudi Arabia’s construction and industrial sectors as the Kingdom continues to advance major projects and work toward the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The exhibition provides a platform for project stakeholders to exchange expertise, explore new technologies, and identify solutions supporting the delivery of major developments across the Kingdom.
Leadership and Governance Take Centre Stage
The opening-day programme featured discussions on leadership, governance, transparency, collaboration, and project execution.
The first leadership panel examined how stronger governance and collaboration can improve the delivery of complex projects. Darko Macura FCIOB, Chief Executive Officer of Al Kholi Group, moderated the session.
Panelists included Christopher Seymour, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa at Mace Arabia; Khalid Dugaither, Director of Corporate Procurement & Contracts at ROSHN; and Yousuf Bin Zayed, General Manager at Al-Futtaim Facilities Management.
The speakers highlighted the importance of early planning and stronger coordination between project stakeholders.
Christopher Seymour stressed that project teams have become more focused on project controls and resilience. He also emphasized the need to bring planning activities further forward to help projects adapt to changing requirements.
Yousuf Bin Zayed highlighted the role of supply-chain collaboration in strengthening resilience. He noted that stronger partnerships between developers and suppliers can help projects achieve better outcomes.
Technology and Planning Support Construction Delivery
Another leadership panel focused on “Enhancing planning, coordination and supervision standards on construction sites.”
The session brought together Kevin Beaver FCIOB, Delivery Director – Expo Riyadh 2030 at Bechtel; Joel Thompson MCIOB, Senior Manager – Projects at Qiddiya Investment Company; Mohamed Yamani, FMC Director at Dussman Ajlan & Bros.; and Omran Mahmood Alam, Senior Project Manager at House of Consulting Office.
Rachael Jones, Head of Specialist Services at JLL, moderated the discussion.
The panel explored practical approaches to improving day-to-day construction execution. Discussions covered leadership, planning, supervision, technology adoption, workforce development, and end-user expectations.
Kevin Beaver emphasized the importance of visible leadership and leading by example on construction sites.
Joel Thompson highlighted the need to establish an execution strategy early, starting during the tendering stage. He noted that design, procurement, logistics, health and safety, and project programming should work together within a clear execution plan.
The panelists also agreed that greater technology adoption can improve project efficiency while supporting workforce development and upskilling.
Exhibitors Showcase Solutions for Saudi Projects
The opening day also featured local and international exhibitors presenting products and technologies designed to support Saudi Arabia’s evolving built environment.
Al-Futtaim Contracting announced the launch of its Facilities Management and Fire & Life Safety operations in Saudi Arabia at Big 5 Construct Saudi. The move expands the company’s specialist capabilities and integrated asset-lifecycle services in the Kingdom.
Other exhibitors showcased solutions across HVAC, air conditioning, insurance, steel, pumping, water management, and building technologies.
Hussein & AlHassan G. Shaker Bros. presented HVAC and air-conditioning solutions, while MedGulf showcased insurance and reinsurance services for the construction sector.
Al Yamamah Steel, Baz Steel, and Zamil Steel Holding highlighted steel and related solutions supporting building and infrastructure projects.
Meanwhile, Haier & Aljabr Saudi Electronics Trading showcased building and HVAC-related technologies.
Pumping and water-management solutions were also presented by Grundfos Saudi Arabia and Wilo Saudi Arabia.
Big 5 Construct Saudi Strengthens Industry Connections
Commenting on the opening day, Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President at dmg events, said that the strong engagement across the exhibition reflects the scale of opportunity in the Saudi market and the increasingly specialized requirements of its construction sector.
He highlighted the participation of project owners, contractors, consultants, manufacturers, and suppliers in discussions focused on procurement, project delivery, technical requirements, and supply chains.
Kazi added that bringing these stakeholders together can help transform industry discussions into new partnerships, business opportunities, and collaborations.

Big 5 Construct Saudi continues at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center through September 2.
The remaining programme will feature technical discussions, product showcases, networking opportunities, and direct engagement between industry professionals, suppliers, project stakeholders, and construction experts.
