Big 5 Construct Kenya 2026 returns to Sarit Expo Centre, Nairobi, from 21–23 October as the country’s construction sector continues to see activity across a project pipeline valued at $26 billion, according to ConstructAfrica.
Organized by dmg events, the ninth edition will bring together more than 150 exhibitors from over 25 countries. The exhibition will showcase products, technologies and expertise across 12 dedicated sectors, connecting construction industry stakeholders with solutions relevant to projects in Kenya and the wider East African market.
The scale of Kenya’s construction pipeline aligns with the country’s broader development ambitions under Kenya Vision 2030 and the Construction Industry Development Policy. According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics’ Economic Survey 2026, the construction sector rebounded from a 0.7% contraction in 2024 to grow by 6.8% in 2025.
Furthermore, ConstructAfrica data cited by the event organizers indicates that Kenya accounts for 64.4% of East Africa’s identified construction project value, highlighting the country’s position in the region’s construction market.
“Kenya’s substantial project pipeline is creating demand for a broad range of products, expertise and specialist services, opening opportunities for companies looking to expand their presence in East Africa,” said Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President at dmg events.
“Big 5 Construct Kenya brings local businesses together with suppliers and manufacturers from around the world, while giving international brands a closer understanding of the requirements and relationships that support project delivery in Kenya.”
International and Local Exhibitors Showcase Construction Solutions
The exhibition floor will bring together companies operating across construction materials, building systems, equipment, digital technologies and specialist services. Their participation reflects the diverse requirements of Kenya’s construction projects and supply chain.
International exhibitors include Silkcoat Paint Company, Liebherr, GRUPO B&M, Krypton Chemical, Ceramica Cleopatra, MC-Bauchemie and RIB Software. These companies represent a range of solutions spanning building materials, construction tools, digital construction and project management.
Country pavilions from China, Egypt, Germany, Italy and Türkiye will also bring together companies presenting products and expertise for the Kenyan market.
Kenyan participants include Kohler East Africa, Henkel Kenya, Wood Products Kenya, Elite Tools, King Tiles, Jafree Trader/BTALI and Neuce Paints, alongside other local businesses supporting the country’s construction supply chain.
Across the exhibition, visitors can explore solutions covering building interiors and finishes, concrete and cement, construction equipment, digital construction, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR), mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), intelligent buildings, offsite and modular construction, solar technologies and building envelope solutions.
The international exhibitor lineup and country pavilions will provide opportunities for industry professionals to compare products, meet suppliers and explore potential business connections across Kenya and the wider region.
Big 5 Impact Trail Introduces Sustainable Construction Solutions
Making its debut at this year’s exhibition, the Big 5 Impact Trail will highlight a curated selection of eco-friendly construction solutions across the exhibition floor.
Dedicated markers will help visitors identify participating exhibitors and explore products designed to support lower-impact construction, resource efficiency and long-term performance.
Participating companies include ProNature, Herz Middle East, Emirates Industrial Panel, National Paints Factories, The Supreme Industries, Knauf Gypsum Tanzania and Surfaces Furnishing.
The initiative connects the exhibition’s wider sustainability discussions with products and technologies that construction professionals can evaluate for current and future projects. It also supports conversations around the sustainable development ambitions outlined under Kenya Vision 2030.
By bringing these solutions together in a dedicated trail, the feature will give visitors a focused way to discover materials and technologies relevant to more resource-efficient construction practices.
CPD-Certified Big 5 Talks to Cover Five Industry Themes
Running alongside the exhibition, the CPD-certified Big 5 Talks programme will feature more than 25 sessions examining practical challenges and developments across the construction industry.
The programme will cover five themes: architecture and design, project management, technology and innovation, sustainability, and contracting.
The speaker lineup includes representatives from Kenya’s Ministry of Roads and Transport and the National Construction Authority. It also features the Architectural Association of Kenya and the Centre for Science and Technology Innovations.
Furthermore, representatives from the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), Turner & Townsend and Gentec Consulting will contribute to the programme. Other organizations will also participate.
The sessions will help industry professionals exchange knowledge and discuss project delivery. In addition, they will explore practical approaches to emerging construction requirements. As a result, participants can gain insights into current industry challenges and potential solutions.
“Across the three days, professionals will have the opportunity to see solutions first-hand, exchange knowledge with peers and have practical conversations around the projects and requirements driving the market,” concluded Heijmans.
