Abu Ria: Trade Exchange Does Not Reflect the Depth of Relations
Ahmed Abu Ria, Chairman of Black Diamond for Public Relations and Conference Organization, said the company’s participation in the two events alongside its strategic partner, the Embassy of Oman in Cairo, reflects its commitment to supporting economic and investment events that can generate value for both countries.
He noted that Black Diamond seeks through its role to help strengthen relationships between the Egyptian and Omani business communities and create greater opportunities for investors from both markets.
Abu Ria described the two forums as an inspiring experience for investors in Egypt and Oman, particularly given the scale of investment opportunities and potential areas of cooperation discussed during the events.
He pointed out that Egypt-Oman trade exchange stands at approximately $750 million, saying that the figure highlights the need for additional efforts to expand economic cooperation in a way that better reflects the investment opportunities and depth of relations between the two countries.
Recognition of Oman’s Investment Outreach
Abu Ria also expressed his appreciation to H.E. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Egypt, for his efforts to strengthen investment partnerships between investors from both countries, particularly in the real estate, tourism and industrial sectors.
He noted that approximately 700 Egyptian companies currently invest in Oman, including around 140 companies with significant investments, while the Egyptian market hosts approximately 144 Omani-invested companies.
According to Abu Ria, these figures represent an important foundation that can be leveraged to expand investment partnerships and increase the flow of capital, expertise and business opportunities between Egypt and Oman.
Strengthening a Cross-Border Investment Platform
The forums highlighted the potential for deeper cooperation between the two business communities, bringing together decision-makers from government institutions, real estate development, tourism and manufacturing.
For Black Diamond, continued cooperation with the Omani Embassy in Cairo represents part of its broader role in supporting investment-focused events and connecting business communities around opportunities that can contribute to stronger economic ties between Egypt and Oman.
