Misr Hollanda Aswan Hotels partnership marks a strategic move to strengthen Egypt’s hospitality sector.
Misr Hollanda Hotels has signed an agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop and manage a portfolio of new hotels under globally recognized brands.
The agreements were signed during an official ceremony attended by senior executives from both companies. The event took place at one of Misr Hollanda’s hotels in Aswan, a city widely known for its rich history and cultural significance. This step highlights a growing focus on tourism investment in Upper Egypt.
As part of the first phase, the partnership will launch three hotels under the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands. These projects form part of a broader expansion plan that targets the development of more than 12 hotels in the coming years.
Moreover, the strategy places strong emphasis on Aswan as a key starting point. The first phase includes three hotels and a resort with a total capacity exceeding 600 rooms. The projects are scheduled for completion within 30 months, while the first hotel is expected to open within six months.
In addition, both parties confirmed that this partnership represents the beginning of a long-term growth plan. The second phase will expand to six hotels managed by IHG Hotels & Resorts. This will be followed by a third phase targeting 12 hotels, with further expansion across different Egyptian governorates.
This collaboration reflects increasing confidence in Egypt as a high-potential investment destination in tourism and hospitality. It also supports national efforts to increase hotel capacity and accommodate the rising number of international visitors.
Furthermore, the projects align with Egypt’s broader strategy to develop the tourism sector. The government continues to facilitate investments and streamline procedures for hospitality projects. As a result, these efforts contribute to sustainable growth and enhance Egypt’s global tourism position.
